Unfortunately the mine is going to be closed for a further weekend while we finish the maintenance that we started last week. We are retro-fitting a new starter to our ventilation fan as the old starter had become unserviceable, and it’s a fairly major job. We’d been monitoring the starter’s condition for a while and decided that it was time to replace it. Of course, with the ventilation fan temporarily out of service we can’t run mine tours. However, the Museum and the Café are open as usual, and we will be staying open late for the Halloween trains on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th. Hope to see you then for some spooky fun!
