2024 is the 110th anniversary of the start of World War One. To mark this, the AVLR be using the War Office Locomotive Trust’s Hunslet loco, built in 1916 on all trains . More information here on the loco. An opportunity to see a genuine war veteran at work!  Hopefully, we’ll also be displaying some of our extensive collection of First World War military railway equipment, and the Trench will be open for visitors. Trains  will  run  from  1130  until 4pm,  with  standard  fares  charged.
