In September 2014 the Apedale Valley Light Railway (North Staffordshire, UK) will host a major First World War event marking 100 years since the start of the “War to end all Wars”. This centenary event will focus on the often overlooked areas of Transport and Logistics used by all combatants during the conflict. This was the narrow gauge light railways’ finest hour.

We are planning to utilise much of the Apedale site that has thus far been inaccessible to the public. Some major site developments are underway that will be a lasting legacy well beyond 2014 – please keep watching this website for news!
