The “Tracks to the Trenches” 2016 event will comemorate the centenary of the tremendous expansion of the British light railways in 1916.  This is part of a series events  marking the centenary of the “War to end all Wars”. This event will focus on the often overlooked areas of Transport and Logistics used by all combatants during the conflict. This was the narrow gauge light railways’ finest hour.
