We are a completely independent charity that is entirely run by volunteers. If you are interested in helping out at either the centre or the Moseley Railway Trust then please drop us a line via the website. Alternatively, feel free to drop in one weekend for a chat. All you need is enthusiasm and a bit of spare time!
We don’t get any regular funding from local government or other bodies and rely on donations, our cafe and mine tours to survive. Where we can, we also try to secure one-off funding for our projects such as the railway station which was partly funded by the Staffordshire Environmental Agency.
By donating you help us to continue to provide a valuable educational resource to local schools, who visit us to learn about our mining heritage and local history. You will also help us to preserve the industrial history and heritage of the Apedale Valley and provide facilities for visitors. We are also slowly developing our site and have long-term plans for projects such as a new lamp room, a brickworks and a bloomery.
If you’d like to donate you can do it online by visiting our “My Donate” page
